Inspired by Buddy Guy in 1969 at Teresa's Lounge in Chicago..

At Teresa's Lounge in Chicago in 1969, one of our founders had the incredible fortune to meet Buddy Guy himself - then still known for his incredible guitar tone on electric. Curiously enough, our founder asked Buddy how he managed to achieve such sound on electric; Buddy revealed his secret - playing on an ancient 50s maple neck Stratocaster equipped with 50s amp to project its sound!

That conversation with Buddy Guy marked an epiphany for our founder. He realized the role quality instruments play in shaping musicians' sounds. After this realization hit home for him, he set about collecting vintage guitars and amplifiers; quickly his collection expanded as more musicians shared in his passion.

Today's online shop represents our founder's lifelong love for vintage instruments. We specialize in hand-picked vintage guitars and amps from the 50s and 60s - the same era which helped produce Buddy Guy's iconic sound - including iconic models by Fender, Gibson, as well as rare instruments you won't see elsewhere.
